Baseline Survey of Engineering Departments

The baseline survey of engineering departments of Kenyan universities was part of the e-readiness survey of universities research series. Engineering baseline survey was carried out in 12 universities which were offering engineering courses. The baseline survey was part of the preparation to a comprehensive e readiness survey of engineering departments in Kenya. However, baseline surveys of ICT departments and medical schools are yet to be released.

Four University Teams win Raspberry Pi Student-Owned Laboratory KENET Mini-Grants

Out of ten highly competitive proposals from different institutions competing for the award of the Raspberry Pi project grant, four proposals won $10,000 mini-grant award each! One-day Education Engineering Forum 2015

KENET through its Special Interest Groups (SIGs) successfully organized a One-day Education Engineering Forum. The main aim of the forum was to launch of the Baseline Survey of Engineering Departments and to disseminate the results of the Raspberry PI Student-Owned Labs for Engineering Education project. The forum was hosted at the Safari Park Hotel on 30thOctober 2015.

The forum brought together over 76 participants from 36 engineering departments of 18 KENET member institutions. These included deans and faculty members of engineering departments in Kenyan Universities.
